We advise EU, EEA and Swiss nationals and their family members across all aspects of the EU Settlement Scheme.
Settled Status Applications
We assist EU, EEA and Swiss nationals who have been resident in the UK for five years or more and are applying for Settled Status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
Pre-Settled Status Applications
We assist those with fewer than five years of residence who are applying for Pre-Settled Status — the first step towards full Settled Status once the qualifying period is complete.
Upgrading to Settled Status
Pre-Settled Status holders who have now completed five years of residence can apply to upgrade to full Settled Status. We advise on eligibility and manage the upgrade application.
Family Members
Family members of EU, EEA and Swiss nationals — including non-EU family members — may be eligible to apply under the scheme. We advise on eligibility and manage family member applications.
Late Applications
The deadline for most applications was 30 June 2021, but late applications continue to be accepted where there are reasonable grounds for missing the deadline. We advise on late applications and manage the submission.
Refusals & Appeals
Where an EU Settlement Scheme application has been refused, we advise on the options available — including an appeal to the immigration tribunal — and represent clients in challenging the decision.
EU Settlement Scheme Advice for Harrow Residents
The EU Settlement Scheme was introduced following Brexit to allow EU, EEA and Swiss nationals who were living in the UK by 31 December 2020 to secure their right to remain. The scheme is now closed to new applications from those who were not resident by that date — but applications, upgrades, late submissions, and appeals continue to be processed.
If you or a family member hold Pre-Settled Status, it is important to upgrade to Settled Status once five years of residence is complete. Pre-Settled Status is time-limited and will expire if the upgrade is not made in time. Our team advises on the upgrade process and manages the application on your behalf.
Speak to Our TeamSettled vs Pre-Settled Status
Settled Status is granted to those with five or more years of continuous residence and allows indefinite residence in the UK. Pre-Settled Status is granted to those with fewer than five years and is time-limited — it must be upgraded before it expires.
Late Applications
If you missed the 30 June 2021 deadline, you may still be able to apply under the scheme if you can demonstrate reasonable grounds for the delay. We advise on what constitutes reasonable grounds and manage late applications on your behalf.
Non-EU Family Members
Non-EU family members of qualifying EU nationals — including spouses, children, and dependent relatives — may be eligible to apply under the scheme. Eligibility depends on the family relationship and the circumstances. We advise on individual cases.
Evidencing Residence
Applications require evidence of residence in the UK. We advise on what evidence is needed — including utility bills, bank statements, and employment records — and help gather and present the supporting documents.
